About The Role

Join Kainos as a Lead AI Engineer within our Workday Practice, where you will play a pivotal role in integrating advanced AI and machine learning solutions into our enterprise offerings. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of software engineering and data science, capable of bridging the gap between model development and production deployment. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to design, develop, and implement scalable AI solutions that enhance our Workday products. Your expertise will ensure the seamless integration of AI models into production environments, optimizing performance, reliability, and user experience.   • Extensive experience in software development using languages such as Python, Java, or C++, with an emphasis on clean, efficient, and maintainable code for production-grade AI solutions.
  • Proven track record of deploying AI/ML models in production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance, with familiarity in MLOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience with cloud-native AI tools like SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML Studio for designing and deploying cloud-based AI solutions.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to develop and manage scalable AI systems.
  • Strong data engineering skills, including building data pipelines, data wrangling, and integrating AI solutions with enterprise data systems.
  • Experience working within agile development environments, with a proven ability to adapt and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable solutions for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As a Lead AI Engineer at Kainos, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI and machine learning models that meet business needs and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
  • Collaborating with data scientists to operationalize AI models, ensuring they are optimized for production environments.
  • Implementing MLOps best practices to automate deployment, monitoring, and management of AI solutions.
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines to support AI model training and inference processes.
  • Working closely with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that enhance Workday offerings.
  • Ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of AI-driven features within enterprise applications.
  • Staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AI and machine learning to continually improve solutions and processes.
  • Mentoring junior team members and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.
