Lead AI Engineer — Wealth Management
£100 - £150k + Bonus
This wealth management firm are investing heavily into AI and see it as a core part of how the business will operate moving forward. They're hiring a Lead AI Engineer to sit at the centre of that shift, working directly with business teams across the firm to find real, high-value use cases, then building and shipping the AI tools that deliver them. This will be the most senior AI hire in the business.
This will be a role that collaborates with all the teams. You'll be in the room with underwriters, advisers, operations and compliance teams, understanding how they actually work, and turning that into agentic tools, internal copilots and automation that gets used.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
