Lead AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Enterprise Deployment | Permanent | London
Location: London
My client is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to build and deploy agentic AI systems for a well-funded AI company working with global enterprises. In this client-facing role, you will turn complex business workflows into reliable systems that operate in production. You will work directly with technical teams and business stakeholders, owning solutions from initial discovery through to deployment in the client’s environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with enterprise clients to understand complex workflows and identify opportunities for AI automation.
- Design and build solutions using LLMs, RAG pipelines, MCP and multi-agent orchestration.
- Integrate AI systems with enterprise data, applications and infrastructure.
- Own end-to-end delivery, from solution design and development through to production deployment.
- Evaluate, monitor and improve the reliability of deployed AI systems.
- Share insights from client projects with the wider engineering team.

Requirements:
- Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based systems in production.
- Strong Python engineering skills.
- Practical experience with RAG pipelines, agentic workflows and AI tool integration.
- Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Experience working within Pharma
- Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable systems.
- A track record of delivering measurable impact through applied AI.

Desirable Skills:
- Experience with MCP and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
- Experience deploying applications using Docker.
- Cloud experience across AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems and data sources.
