Lead AI Generative Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead AI Generative Designer based in United Kingdom.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on creating high-quality, realistic, and consistent AI-generated visual content at scale.

You will own the quality of generated images while continuously improving realism, visual polish, approval rates, and business impact.

The role combines advanced visual design skills with technical expertise in generative AI workflows and automation.

You will build scalable production pipelines using leading AI image-generation platforms, workflow tools, APIs, and scripting.

You will help transform visual production from one-off experimentation into reliable, repeatable, and efficient systems.

The position offers significant autonomy to evaluate emerging AI technologies, test new approaches, and introduce solutions that create measurable value.

You will work in a fully remote environment alongside an international team developing globally impactful digital products.

Accountabilities

  • Own the quality and consistency of AI-generated visual content across production workflows.
  • Create highly realistic, visually appealing, and consistent images of models, personas, avatars, and other visual subjects.
  • Continuously improve image realism, visual polish, approval rates, and overall business performance.
  • Build and optimize scalable generative AI image-production pipelines.
  • Work with tools and platforms such as Nano Banana Pro, Flux, ComfyUI, WaveSpeed, and other emerging AI technologies.
  • Design and maintain ComfyUI workflows for repeatable and scalable image production.
  • Automate content creation through batch generation and processing workflows.
  • Integrate APIs, n8n, simple scripts, and AI-assisted coding approaches to reduce manual work.
  • Increase production volume while maintaining consistent visual quality and standards.
  • Define the technical direction for AI image-generation processes.
  • Align different content streams around shared workflows, standards, and best practices.
  • Establish processes that enable the team to move from individual image generation to reliable production systems.
  • Research and evaluate new generative AI models, tools, techniques, and platforms.
  • Design and run experiments to test hypotheses around image quality, speed, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Assess the practical and business value of emerging AI solutions before implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency through workflow optimization and automation.
  • Establish and continuously refine best practices for AI-generated visual content.
  • Make practical technical and creative decisions in a rapidly evolving AI environment.
  • Communicate technical and creative recommendations clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end visual generation process and continuously improve its performance.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience producing visual content with generative AI.
  • Experience creating realistic images of people, models, avatars, AI personas, or similar high-volume visual content.
  • Solid technical expertise with ComfyUI, Flux, or comparable generative AI ecosystems.
  • Practical experience building and optimizing AI image-generation workflows.
  • Experience with batch generation and automated content-processing pipelines.
  • Familiarity with APIs, n8n, automation tools, and basic scripting.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted coding or “vibecoding” approaches to develop practical production solutions.
  • Strong visual taste and a highly developed eye for detail.
  • Deep understanding of visual realism, composition, anatomy, lighting, and image consistency.
  • Ability to identify artifacts and other visual quality issues and develop ways to address them.
  • Strong understanding of what makes AI-generated imagery visually polished and commercially effective.
  • Senior-level ownership and ability to operate independently.
  • Ability to design processes and systems rather than relying solely on one-off creative solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and experimentation skills.
  • Ability to evaluate new technologies objectively and determine whether they deliver improvements in quality, speed, scalability, or cost.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge existing approaches constructively and make practical decisions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing generative AI environment.
  • Ability to balance creative quality with technical scalability and operational efficiency.
