Interim Lead AI Governance Officer
Location: London (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite/Week)
Duration: 4 Months
Clearance: Active SC Clearance (Mandatory)
Role Overview
Immediate 4-month contract to own and accelerate our AI governance framework. You will bridge technical AI delivery, security, and compliance—setting practical guardrails for models and third-party tools without slowing down operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Frameworks & Assurance: Mature the AI Governance Framework (ISO 42001 / NIST AI RMF / UK Guidelines) and lead AI Impact Assessments on live projects.
- Risk & Security: Maintain the AI Risk Register (addressing drift, prompt injection, hallucination, data security) and align AI controls with SC security standards.
- Oversight: Chair the AI Review Board, audit high-risk models, and manage algorithmic safety incidents.
- Handover: Deliver clear risk reporting to executive leadership and document processes for a clean contract exit.

- Clearance: Active UK SC clearance ready for immediate deployment.
- Experience: Proven interim track record in AI/ML governance, tech risk, or data assurance.
- Knowledge: Deep grasp of AI control frameworks (ISO 42001, NIST) and technical failure modes in modern AI (LLMs, agentic systems).
- Location: Onsite in London 2 days/week.
