About Tech Against Terrorism
Tech Against Terrorism is a UN-mandated non-profit that disrupts terrorist use of the internet. We work with tech companies, governments, and international organisations to detect, disrupt, and archive terrorist activity online. AI is at the centre of everything we build: our threat intelligence platform, our model evaluation work, and the tooling our analysts use every day. Technology drives our mission, and the impact that we deliver in disrupting online terrorism.
The Role
You will be the Executive Director’s building partner and the bridge to our engineers. Our newest products are built by a small team working with AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex, with the Executive Director building alongside them. You will pair with the Executive Director on that work, turn working prototypes into products our engineers can harden and scale, and increase the number of AI tools we ship.
You will own products from idea to production: shaping what we build with the Executive Director, building it with AI coding agents, and working with our engineers so that it is tested, secure and ready for the people who rely on it. You will also drive the implementation and growth of our flagship platform.
This is a hands-on role, a hybrid of product owner and AI engineer. You will work with AI coding agents as a default, directing them, reviewing what they produce and shipping it yourself, with engineers and data scientists alongside you for the parts that need them.
This role is also a senior one: you will work closely with the Executive Director on technical strategy and the product roadmap, represent our technology to major international partners and funders, and drive adoption of tooling that can significantly enhance the mission output of the organisation.
What You'll Work On
- TCAP AI: Our next-generation, AI-enabled threat intelligence platform. You will own its product roadmap, and your first-year mission is to bring its users onto it at scale.
- AI Benchmarking Systems: Developing the systems behind our Counter-Terrorism AI Benchmark (www.ct-ai.org), which evaluates how frontier models handle terrorist content.
- OSINT Tooling: Building and improving the tools our open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysts use daily. Working closely with the OSINT team is a core part of this job.
- Partner Programmes: Technical leadership on projects with government and industry partners.
- New AI Products: Prototyping and shipping new tools with the Executive Director, from first experiment to a service our partners use.

What You'll Do
- Drive TCAP AI to Market: Join business development calls, write product roadmaps and proposals, and turn the strategic roadmap you shape with the Executive Director into actionable plans.
- Build with AI Coding Agents: Pair with the Executive Director to design, prototype and ship integrations, internal tools, and workflows, to high standards of testing, security and code review. Marry what our technology can do to what customers and analysts need.
- Bridge Product and Engineering: Turn prototypes into clear specifications and pull requests our engineers can review, harden and scale, and own delivery planning and technical leadership on partner projects.
- Lead Adoption from Within: Work alongside our analysts as a technical lead inside the team rather than a helpdesk outside it. Make our products and AI capabilities part of how they work every day.
- Raise Our AI Engineering Game: Set the standards for how we build with AI coding agents, and help our engineers and analysts work the same way.
About You
Essential
- A track record of shipping software products end to end, from idea to people using them.
- Advanced use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex: You have shipped production software largely written by agents under your direction, and you can read, review, test and secure what they produce.
- Solid engineering fundamentals: Python or TypeScript, APIs, databases and cloud deployment, and a working knowledge of large language models, prompting and evaluation.
- Product judgement: You can turn a loose idea into a clear specification, decide what not to build, and measure whether what you shipped is used.
- Clear technical communication: Able to converse fluently about technical capabilities with senior audiences and engineers alike.
- A self-starter who can own a function, not just a workload.
- Fast learner in unfamiliar domains.
- Eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance: UK resident for the last five years, with the right to work in the UK.

Desirable
- Knowledge of the counter-terrorism, trust and safety, or online harms space. We can teach the domain faster than we can teach aptitude, so don't rule yourself out without it.
- Senior stakeholder management, including politically sensitive government relationships and strategic conversations at C-suite level.
- Experience in a start-up, a small product team, or as a founding or forward-deployed engineer.
You might be a technical product manager who builds, a founding or forward-deployed engineer, a research engineer who ships, or come from trust and safety engineering at a tech company.
The Environment
Small team, but achieving impressive things that deliver genuine societal impact. Priorities change, and as a senior you are expected to find a path through ambiguity amidst a fast-moving landscape. We understand that this role involves exposure to graphic, violent and/otherwise distressing content. Tech Against Terrorism has Operational Security and Duty of Care policies in place to mitigate against the effects of this work and provides professional, trauma specific support and training to its staff.
Reporting
You'll report to the Chief of Staff and will work closely alongside the Executive Director on the strategic product roadmap and paired programming of technical products.
