Application Engineer | Wealth Management | London | Hybrid (50% Office)

Join a leading UK wealth management organisation supporting critical enterprise applications used across a high-performing financial services business.

We're looking for an Application Engineer to take ownership of a portfolio of enterprise applications, ensuring they remain secure, stable, available and continuously improving. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a sophisticated wealth management environment where technology plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client outcomes.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting business-critical enterprise applications in a live production environment
  • Managing incidents, problems and changes in line with ITIL best practice
  • Performing root cause analysis and driving service improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring application performance, availability and operational health
  • Supporting releases, deployments and production change activities
  • Working closely with business stakeholders, product teams and third-party vendors
  • Automating manual processes and enhancing operational efficiency
  • Contributing to operational resilience, disaster recovery and service continuity initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience supporting enterprise applications in production
  • Solid understanding of Incident, Problem and Change Management
  • ITIL-based service management experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience within wealth management, investment management, private banking or financial services
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow
  • SQL and scripting/automation experience
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managed service providers
  • Understanding of operational resilience and security controls
