Lead Architect | Core Banking Transformation
Location: London - Hybrid
Employment type: Permanent | Up to £110,000

The opportunity
A senior architecture role with a global strategy and technology consultancy, driving core banking transformation for major financial services clients. You'll take ownership of technically complex work streams within large programmes, shape architecture strategy, and start to build out your own team leadership experience.

A global strategy and technology consultancy with a dedicated financial services and banking practice, delivering large scale IT architecture and digital transformation for banks and financial institutions around the world. The team combines deep technical expertise with an independent, non vendor aligned approach to solving clients' hardest technology problems.
What you'll be doing
- Partnering with core banking and financial services clients to shape IT strategy and architecture, and winning buy-in for your recommendations.
- Owning complex, technically demanding work streams within large scale transformation programmes end to end.
- Designing modern architectures with a strong focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
- Setting target and reference architectures, technology roadmaps, and governance standards.
- Reducing architectural debt and driving technology modernisation across large banking estates.
- Building early team leadership experience, influencing senior technology and business stakeholders.

What we're looking for
- Experience in a senior Technology, Solution, or Enterprise Architecture role within financial services, with a track record in core banking transformation.
- Hands-on experience with a major core banking platform.
- Broad technical grounding across integration, engineering, and delivery practices.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools to support architecture and engineering work.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
