Are you an experienced teacher or examiner with an in-depth understanding of Mandarin Chinese as a first language, who is ready to take the next step in your professional development?

Do you aspire to influence and uphold standards for the leading provider of GCSE and A-level qualifications?

AQA is an educational charity committed to helping students and teachers realise their potential. We’re looking for Lead Assessment Writers to create high-quality assessment materials for our OxfordAQA International A-level Chinese – First Language specification, in particular for Units 3 and 4.

This role can be worked flexibly and is designed to be carried out alongside full-time teaching commitments.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll play a key role in the question paper production process by creating high-quality question papers and mark schemes which reflect the requirements set out in a brief.
  • The successful applicant would complete this work for both the June and November series.
  • You would be required to attend approximately 4 full-day remote meetings per year.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
