Lead Auditor (Multi Discipline) – Construction

Location – South England

You’ve laid the foundations. Now reach higher.

If you’ve worked on infrastructure, capital, or civil projects, you have plenty of experience following construction industry regulations and legislation. Now, this is your chance to use that experience to help set standards instead. It’s an influential job with an organisation that’s renowned for making the world a safer place.

About the role

You’ll join LRQA Ltd, an organisation with decades of experience of helping the construction industry to embrace innovative methods and safely build the next generation of structures.

As one of our Lead Auditors, you’ll influence safety, quality and environmental performance across a wide range of significant, complex national infrastructure and capital projects, through the delivery of management system audits.

Essentially, the job is to undertake audits and make important certification decisions against internationally recognised management system standards, whether working independently or through your team. Of course, that can’t happen in a vacuum. It’s essential that you and your team cultivate positive relationships with clients and work collaboratively to add value. They’re depending on your clear communication and auditing expertise to keep projects progressing.

What you can add

People who join us as auditors come from a diverse range of backgrounds. Some have worked as site managers or in QHSE (Health & Safety) related roles. Others have come via an engineering pathway. A management systems background is always a plus.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
