Lead Auditor
As a Lead Auditor, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of ANS's compliance and governance frameworks. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure our management systems remain effective, compliant and aligned to recognised industry standards.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with auditing experience to broaden their expertise across information security, service management, risk management, business continuity, environmental management and quality management.
You'll act as a trusted compliance partner to teams throughout ANS, promoting best practice, supporting audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping to strengthen our culture of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Compliance
- Plan, coordinate and conduct internal audits across business functions.
- Support and participate in external certification and client audits.
- Monitor, track and drive the resolution of non-conformities and opportunities for improvement.
- Complete partner and supplier audits.
- Support external data centre audits and compliance assessments.
Management Systems
- Support the ongoing maintenance and continual improvement of ANS's Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Assist in the management of:
- Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Service Management Systems (SMS)
- Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS)
- Review, update and maintain policies, procedures and control documentation.

Risk & Governance
- Support risk management activities across the business.
- Contribute to incident management and business continuity planning.
- Assist with GDPR and information governance requirements.
- Promote awareness and understanding of compliance obligations across ANS.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support Sales and Account Management teams with customer compliance queries.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes.
- Represent the compliance function in meetings with clients and partners.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance compliance processes and controls.
- Support sustainability and environmental reporting initiatives, including PAS 2060 and SECR requirements.
- Develop knowledge of industry and regulatory frameworks including ISO standards, PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials Plus and SOC 2.

About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong auditing skills with excellent stakeholder management and a passion for continual improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an auditing, compliance or governance role.
- Experience conducting internal and/or external audits.
- Understanding of risk management principles.
- Knowledge of business continuity management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Knowledge of ISO management systems and certification frameworks.
- Exposure to information security and data protection requirements.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 20000 and ISO 14001.
- Awareness of PCI DSS, SOC 2, Cyber Essentials Plus or similar compliance frameworks.
