Lead Azure Data Consultant

£75,000 - £90,000 | UK | Hybrid | SC Cleared / Eligible

Overview

Join a world-leading Microsoft consultancy delivering cutting-edge data and analytics solutions for major UK organisations.

As a Lead Azure Data Consultant, you'll combine technical leadership with hands-on delivery, owning complex data workstreams from discovery through to implementation using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and the wider Azure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of modern Azure data solutions.
  • Own technical workstreams from discovery through to implementation.
  • Design scalable lakehouses, data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Advise senior clients on data architecture, analytics and engineering.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor delivery teams.
  • Drive high standards across security, scalability and performance.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong data and analytics experience within a consultancy or systems integrator.
  • Experience leading technical workstreams and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, modelling and ETL/ELT.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms.
  • Active UK SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
