Lead BI Analyst
Halifax (Hybrid) Up to £57,000 + Excellent Benefits
Transition Partners are delighted to be partnering with an award-winning insurance organisation as they continue to invest in their Business Intelligence capability, data quality and self-service analytics across the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead BI Analyst to join a people-focused organisation that is recognised for its supportive and inclusive culture. You'll play a key role in shaping the company's BI tooling, setting technical standards and helping to turn data into timely, accurate and reliable insight that supports better decision-making. Working within a collaborative Business Reporting team, you'll have the opportunity to lead technical delivery, influence strategic data initiatives and mentor colleagues, all while staying at the forefront of developments in the BI and analytics landscape.
The Opportunity
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical BI expertise with the confidence to engage stakeholders and lead by example. You'll be responsible for ensuring robust governance, best practice and technical excellence across a range of BI platforms, while delivering high-quality reporting solutions that drive real business value. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working across the full BI lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing solutions through to delivery, user training and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and shape the organisation's BI tooling, ensuring robust governance, best practice and technical excellence across Power BI, QlikView and Business Objects.
- Design, develop and deliver high-quality dashboards, reports and data solutions.
- Work closely with Business Reporting, Data Engineering and business stakeholders to deliver effective reporting solutions.
- Drive self-service analytics and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and train end users.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BI capability, focusing on technical standards, data quality and innovation.
- Influence strategic data initiatives and lead technical delivery.
- Mentor colleagues and help build a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Business Intelligence, reporting or data warehousing environments.
- Strong knowledge of BI solution architecture and modern reporting best practices.
- Strong Power BI, SQL and DAX skills.
- Experience with other BI tools such as Business Objects, QlikView or SSRS would be advantageous.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to engage with stakeholders, gather requirements and build strong relationships across technical and business teams.
- An organised, analytical and thoughtful way of working, with the ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines.
- A naturally inquisitive, data-driven mindset with the adaptability and accountability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience in Business Intelligence, data, analytics or a related field.
