Lead BI Developer
Salary: Up to £65,000
Location: Leeds (3/2 Hybrid)
This is a pivotal role for a senior BI specialist looking to step up into a lead position and work on custom Power BI solutions for key clients within an established agency. You will move beyond standard marketing metrics and build complex, cross-functional dashboards, helping to integrate sales, e-commerce, and operational data for a diverse client base.
You’ll lead a small but established data team with responsibility for BI dashboards, reports and analytics with a direct line into the owners. They’re a forward-thinking agency with an excellent culture and data strategy that need someone who can act autonomously and run with their own ideas.

The Role
- Design and Build Custom Solutions: Work closely with clients to design and maintain interactive, white-labelled Power BI reports tailored to their needs.
- Complex Data Integration: Extract and transform data from varied sources, including SQL databases, and marketing platforms, to build scalable relational models.
- Advanced Analytics: Utilize DAX for custom KPIs and time-intelligence metrics, while managing RLS (Row-Level Security) protocols.
- Client Consultation: Scope requirements directly with stakeholders and translate technical data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Guide and mentor a small team of developers and analysts

Experience Needed
- Experience: Power BI knowledge, a BI Developer or Analyst background, and a real passion for creating the best dashboards possible.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Power BI (Power Query, DAX), SQL, and advanced Excel.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects and navigate unstructured data sets across different industries.
- Leadership and management: Experience of leading a small team or a desire to do so, managing, mentoring and getting the best out of your team
