Our award-winning brewery client, based in the West Midlands, is recruiting a Lead Brewer who is passionate about creating exceptional beer to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the consistent and quality-driven production of core and seasonal brands, from wort production, through fermentation and cellaring, to packaging.
- Creating and developing new recipes and driving innovation.
- Supervising and supporting the ongoing training of the production team.
- Assisting with maintaining and developing our SALSA and HACCP systems.
- Undertaking QA & QC including lab testing and sensory analysis.
- Using Brewman to track production and inventory.
- Preventative and reactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining stock levels and building supplier relationships.
- Attending industry events and being an upstanding ambassador for the brewery.
- Working closely with the logistics and sales teams to meet daily challenges.

Essential requirements
- Minimum 5 years in a commercial brewery.
- Experience designing and brewing a broad range of beer styles.
- Strong technical brewing knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within the SALSA and HACCP frameworks.
- Strong team leadership and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping.
- IT proficiency including Brewman and/or Breww.
- Impeccable standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kg with ease.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable skills/attributes
- Brewing/Science Degree, IBD Diploma, or similar.
- SALSA and HACCP management.
