Lead Building Services Engineer
Tewkesbury Area | Up to £75,000 + Benefits + UK Travel
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Building Services Engineer to join a growing Engineering & Project Management Consultancy delivering complex EPC projects across the Food & Beverage, FMCG, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Cleanroom, Industrial and Process sectors.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and based at their HQ near Gloucester, the Lead Building Services Engineer will provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering projects, supporting delivery from concept and front-end engineering design through to commissioning and handover.
This Lead Building Services Engineer role would suit a Lead Building Services Engineer, Principal Engineer, Senior Electrical Engineer, Senior Mechanical Engineer, MEP Engineer, Design Lead or Technical Lead looking to take ownership of technical delivery across complex engineering projects.
Whilst an Electrical background would be advantageous, we're equally interested in candidates from Mechanical, Refrigeration and broader Building Services backgrounds with experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.

- Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering projects.
- Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and engineering assurance activities.
- Develop and review Basis of Design documentation.
- Review contractor designs, technical submissions and engineering solutions.
- Coordinate Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Refrigeration and Building Services interfaces.
- Support Project Managers with technical decision-making and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and client requirements.
- Support commissioning, testing and project handover.
- Mentor and support engineers across the business.
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience delivering M&E, MEP, EPC, Industrial or Capital Projects.
- Strong understanding of Building Services engineering and multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Experience reviewing contractor-led designs and technical submissions.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, British Standards and engineering best practice.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within Food & Beverage, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Cleanroom, Industrial Manufacturing, Process Engineering or Refrigeration environments would be particularly advantageous.
