Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Building Services Engineer to join our agency team on a high–profile static site in Central London. This role combines hands–on engineering duties with team leadership and statutory compliance, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable site operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on electrical systems and mechanical plant
  • Fault find and repair building services systems including HV, LV, HVAC, and associated plant
  • Undertake minor works including lamping, basic plumbing repairs, and component replacements
  • Lead and support a team of engineers on site, ensuring works are completed to a high standard, providing day–to–day direction, mentoring, and performance oversight
  • Review and complete RAMS, ensuring all works are carried out safely
  • Ensure all engineering activities meet statutory and site compliance requirements
  • Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions where required
  • Act as the main point of contact on site for technical issues and escalations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Lead Engineer / Supervisor role within Building Services
  • Strong hands–on experience with electrical and mechanical systems maintenance
  • Experience carrying out PPMs, reactive maintenance, and fault finding
  • Be a commutable distance of Central London
  • Ability to lead engineers while remaining actively involved in day–to–day engineering tasks
  • Experience completing and reviewing RAMS
  • Strong client–facing and communication skills
