At the heart of CPM, the Product Team is responsible for driving the innovation, development, launch, support, and continuous enhancement of our market-leading plan products, including EquatePlus, our web-based platform, and the EquateMobile App. Working across a global landscape, the team combines Product Management expertise and Business Analysis capabilities to deliver strategic initiatives, technology enhancements, and process improvements that create value for clients and shareholders alike.

A role you will love

As a Lead Business Analyst, you will work with business and technology teams across global regions to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client, operational, and regulatory requirements. Partnering with Product Managers, Product Owners, Project Managers, and technology teams, you will drive strategic initiatives, product enhancements, and process improvements that support business growth and innovation.

You will lead business analysis activities, ensuring best practices, tools, and techniques are applied consistently, while helping to shape and prioritise the product backlog in line with business and product objectives. You will also provide leadership to a small team of Business Analysts, overseeing performance, resource allocation, and development to ensure successful delivery against business priorities.

This role requires a proactive, self-driven professional with strong business analysis expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to influence and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering activities, working with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear business and functional requirements for delivery teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and requirements elicitation sessions, using a range of techniques to identify needs, solve problems, and drive effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Project Managers, and technology teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and product strategy.
  • Create, maintain, and manage high-quality project and product documentation, ensuring it remains accurate, current, and approved by relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, managing expectations and influencing decisions to support successful delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Analysts, providing coaching, performance management, and ongoing support to build capability and encourage growth.
  • Work with the Head of Business Analysis to prioritise the team’s workload and allocate resources effectively across projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate quality assurance, governance, and risk management practices are applied throughout the change lifecycle, proactively identifying and escalating risks and issues.
  • Champion Agile ways of working, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions that enhance business performance, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
