Lead Business Analyst

Castleford | 40 Hours, Monday to Friday | Competitive Salary

Drive business transformation, lead a team of analysts, and shape the future of enterprise systems across a growing international technology business.

About the Role

CMS Distribution is looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in delivering business transformation and process improvement initiatives across the Group.

Leading a team of Business Analysts, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and programme leaders to identify opportunities for change, optimise processes, and deliver strategic projects that improve operational performance.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine people leadership, business process expertise, and SAP knowledge while contributing to major transformation programmes, acquisitions, and system integration projects.

You'll have a direct impact on how the organisation operates, helping to shape future ways of working and ensuring technology solutions deliver measurable business value.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and develop a team of Business Analysts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality business analysis services across the Group.
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels to identify business challenges, define requirements, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support strategic business transformation projects, including process optimisation, ERP enhancements, acquisitions, and system integrations.
  • Drive business process re-engineering initiatives and digital transformation programmes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Champion best practice business analysis methodologies, tools, and standards across the organisation.
  • Work closely with IT, programme teams, and business leaders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable benefits.
  • Facilitate workshops, presentations, and stakeholder engagement activities to gain alignment and drive change adoption.
  • Support testing and implementation activities to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and successfully embedded within the business.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience in a Business Analyst role, including leading and developing teams.
  • Has demonstrable experience delivering business transformation, process improvement, and change initiatives.
  • Possesses strong SAP ERP knowledge, including experience supporting or configuring business processes.
  • Has experience gathering requirements, process mapping, and translating business needs into practical solutions.
  • Is an excellent communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on business outcomes and customer service.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on ERP implementation, migration, or integration projects.
  • Industry-recognised Business Analysis or Business Process qualification.
  • Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
  • Exposure to post-acquisition integration projects and organisational change programmes.
