About The Role

Data Lynx is our strategic data platform, empowering Boots, Boots Opticians and the No7 Beauty Company with advanced analytics, insightful reporting and sophisticated modelling capabilities. By making better use of data across our businesses, we help improve customer and patient experiences, products and services.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Business Data Analyst to join the Data Lynx delivery team. You will lead the business analysis approach across complex data initiatives, translating strategic objectives into clear requirements, actionable insights and measurable outcomes. Acting as a trusted link between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams, you will provide direction to analysts, champion consistent standards and help ensure that our data products deliver meaningful value.

You will work in an Agile environment, contributing to Program Increment planning and Agile Release Trains, shaping priorities and maintaining alignment between business and IT teams. You will also oversee data profiling and analysis, ensuring that data is structured, accurate and fit for purpose. This is a highly collaborative role for someone who combines strong analytical judgement, business understanding and influential leadership.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead business and data analysis across complex initiatives, from discovery and requirements definition through to delivery and benefits realisation.
  • Translate complex needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process models and data specifications.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and quality assurance for Business Data Analysts, promoting consistent methods and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and decision-making sessions that bring together business, data and technology teams.
  • Lead data profiling and root-cause analysis to assess structure, quality, lineage and integrity.
  • Use evidence and insight to challenge assumptions, shape priorities and recommend practical solutions.
  • Contribute to Program Increment planning, backlog refinement and Agile Release Train ceremonies.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, using compelling analysis and visualisation.
  • Champion governance, documentation and traceability so that solutions remain aligned to business outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
