Lead Business Growth Manager - Partnerships

As a Lead Business Growth Manager - Partnerships, you will be responsible for building and maintaining professional and profitable relationships with key clients and agencies.

We require you to identify business growth opportunities with new and existing advertisers and agencies, developing these relationships and creative opportunities.

What you'll be doing...

Commercial

  • Generate maximum revenue by building strong client and agency relationships from key existing and new brands / agencies, identifying strong potential sales opportunities.
  • Distinguish key areas for future business development.
  • Have ownership of the relationships with your accounts, and use these relationships to influence activity towards the OOH market and to JCDecaux specifically, through strong proactive pitching to new and existing clients and agencies.
  • Grow a comprehensive understanding of agency business and media objectives, and devise National client development strategies, sales reporting, and revenue forecasts for both direct and agency accounts.
  • Act as an ambassador for JCDecaux, ensuring our business is perceived as the brand market leader and secure the Lion's share of the business from your client base. Communicate company information and key messages to the market; understand and share JCDecaux's programmatic narrative to drive awareness and revenues in this area.
  • Act as an expert in the management and delivery of customer campaigns from objective translation into booking and through to implementation.

Sales Generation

  • Revenue expectation for this role is above £1million for direct brands, to be generated from creating, negotiating with and retaining brands spending more than 100K per cycle.
  • Your time and efforts will focus on the development and performance of clients and on self-generating new opportunities.
  • To facilitate this, you will need to grow a sound knowledge of JCDecaux’s portfolio to influence planning decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase OOH revenue from your assigned agency portfolio.
  • Act as the primary contact for key media agencies, influencing planning decisions and promoting JCDecaux’s portfolio.
  • Analyse client business and marketing objectives to create tailored advertising solutions.
  • Provide feedback, sales leads, and standard process methods to colleagues and the management team, taken from client meetings and conversations.

Team Work

  • Work in close collaboration with other JCDecaux departments, facilitating smooth and beneficial cross-team cooperation.
  • Within the business growth team, demonstrate forward thinking, creative, and innovative ideas to the wider Business Growth team.
  • Adhere to and advocate for a wider adoption of the established business and commercial policies to achieve our business strategy and objectives.

  • Take an agile approach and reduce ineffectiveness or inefficiencies to meet and deliver objectives successfully.
  • Anticipate the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required of this role and will continuously seek to learn and develop these.
  • Experience of securing business by influencing and negotiating with senior partners at Director level.
  • Consistently deliver outstanding sales results with year-on-year growth.
  • Holding strong communication and social skills. Experience in communicating at C-suite level is a must.
  • Act as a facilitator, encouraging dialogue between team members so that they understand the links between their ideas; able to collaborate across departments.
  • A strong networker who creates formal networks internally and externally, i.e. part of a formal industry network, with the ability to broaden JCD client base among the top UK brands and SMEs.
  • Gets to the root of what the groups / team think or feel about an issue or plan and encourages others to work effectively with people with diverse styles and backgrounds.
  • Articulate; can explain and present complex ideas clearly and with passion. Builds support for ideas through persuasion and consensus-building.
  • An effective negotiator; able to achieve the desired outcome in complex situations, intervening in difficult situations to find constructive resolution.
  • A critical thinker and problem solver, with the ability to develop and refine innovative approaches to problems, considering the wider impact and implications of these solutions for the business.
  • Makes timely and sound decisions regarding complex issues.
  • Influences strategy and goals in your own area based on business needs and priorities in the medium to long term and translates these strategies into deliverable objectives and actions.
  • Ensures others understand the long-term implications of decisions.
  • Supports implementation of change.

Experience and Qualifications

  • In-depth sales generation, negotiation, and account management skills.
  • Experienced in media (and preferably digital and OOH media) trading and management.
  • An understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts.
  • Success working with moderately complex sales or account management processes.
