About the Role
We are working with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Lead Buyer to support a high-profile business transformation programme. This role will take ownership of complex procurement activity, working closely with international colleagues, internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver strategic projects successfully.
Typical Duties
- Lead strategic RFI and RFP activity, identifying suitable suppliers and partners
- Take ownership of complex procurement projects, working with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop appropriate SOWs
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts, ensuring performance, quality and delivery requirements are met
- Develop and support supplier relationship management strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Drive supplier performance, value creation and the resolution of commercial or delivery issues

The Successful Candidate
- Experienced procurement professional with a strong track record of managing complex strategic projects or programmes
- Confident managing the full procurement process, including RFI/RFP activity, supplier selection, contracts and stakeholder engagement
- Comfortable working with international colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong relationship builder with the confidence to operate at senior stakeholder level
- Able to take ownership of large procurement projects and drive them through to successful delivery
