Lead Developer
Our client is in the Travel & Logistics Sector and is looking to grow their team with a new Lead Developer. This role will be mostly hands on coding (70%) and the rest spent looking after a small team of 4 other developers. This role will be 3 days a week in the Woking office the rest at home.
Description
This role is mainly hands on coding (70%) in C# in an AI first team (Claude) and the rest of your time looking after a small team of 4 developers
- Design and develop scalable and efficient C# applications.
- Run scrum ceremonies
- Sprint planning sessions
- Uphold architecture and engineering standards
- Ensure an AI first culture
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements.
- Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and resolve software issues and bugs in a timely manner.
- Maintain and improve existing software systems and applications.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Must haves:
- C#
- Azure - App Services, Function Apps, SQL databases, App Gateways, APIM
- AI first developer - used tools like Claude or similar
- Currently managing or mentoring a small team - full management/team leadership training will be provided
