What if your next simulation could influence the future of one of the world's most iconic automotive brands?

At Aston Martin, engineering excellence starts long before a vehicle reaches the road. It begins with the analysis, innovation and expertise that shape every component, every structure and every performance target. We're looking for a Lead CAE Engineer to join our Body Engineering team in Gaydon, helping to deliver the next generation of ultra-luxury high-performance vehicles.

This is an opportunity for an experienced CAE professional to take ownership of complex vehicle analysis activities, using advanced engineering tools and technical expertise to ensure our vehicles achieve demanding targets for performance, crashworthiness, stiffness, durability, refinement, mass and cost. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting programmes from concept through to delivery, providing solutions that directly influence vehicle design and engineering decisions.

Working at the forefront of Body CAE, you'll lead the analysis of a broad range of load cases including crashworthiness, NVH, durability, strength and stiffness. You'll collaborate closely with Body Structures, Safety, Programme, Manufacturing and Vehicle Engineering teams, providing expert guidance that helps evolve designs and deliver world-class engineering solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical depth and leadership responsibility. Alongside leading your own analysis activities, you'll support the development of engineering standards, drive improvements in modelling efficiency and mentor less experienced engineers within the team. You'll also have the opportunity to present technical findings to stakeholders across the business and contribute to the continuous advancement of Aston Martin's CAE capability.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring a strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and Finite Element Analysis, together with proven experience in automotive CAE covering crashworthiness, structural stiffness, strength, durability and NVH. You'll have experience using industry-standard CAE solvers such as LS-DYNA or Optistruct and will be comfortable leading analysis activities, influencing engineering decisions and supporting the development of other engineers. Experience within automotive body structures, vehicle safety or related engineering disciplines is essential, along with a proactive mindset and the ability to deliver high-quality work to demanding timelines.

We're looking for someone who thrives on challenge, enjoys solving complex engineering problems and wants to play a key role in creating vehicles that push the boundaries of performance, innovation and craftsmanship. If you're ready to combine advanced simulation expertise with genuine influence across vehicle development programmes, we'd love to hear from you.
