About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, who will play a pivotal role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing our cloud and on-premise technology platforms. Working across Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and hybrid environments, you will ensure our infrastructure remains secure, resilient, and highly available.

You will act as the senior technical authority within the Cloud & Infrastructure team, leading complex technical activities, supporting major incidents, and driving the continuous improvement of our infrastructure estate.

A key focus of the role will be ensuring security vulnerabilities are identified, prioritised, and remediated effectively, helping to protect critical services and reduce organisational risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the secure operation, maintenance, and enhancement of cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Managing the remediation of security vulnerabilities and ensuring patching activities are delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Providing technical leadership during major incidents, operational issues, and infrastructure projects.
  • Ensuring backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery controls are in place and regularly tested.
  • Acting as a technical authority for identity management, privileged access, and secure configuration practices.
  • Working closely with Security Operations, Architecture, and Delivery teams to improve security, resilience, and operational maturity.
  • Supporting incident, change, and problem management activities.
  • Deputising for the Cloud & Infrastructure Service Manager when required, providing operational leadership and decision-making support.
  • Driving automation, continuous improvement, and best practice across the infrastructure estate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
