Role Description
The Lead Coach is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality football training sessions, overseeing player development, and supporting the overall coaching structure at FC Wiltshire Development Centre. This part-time, on-site role in Calne includes:

The Lead Coach collaborates with other coaches to align on development goals, communicates regularly with players and caregivers about progress, and helps identify talent and appropriate pathways within the Centre. The role also involves basic administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with club policies and safeguarding standards.
Qualifications
- Relevant football coaching qualifications (e.g., FA coaching badges or equivalent) and proven experience leading youth or community football sessions.
- Strong skills in session planning, player development, and match-day management, with the ability to adapt coaching to different ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate players, collaborate with fellow coaches, and engage caregivers in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding, player welfare, and inclusive coaching practices, including understanding of health and safety in a sports environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle scheduling, record-keeping, and coordination of training and fixtures in a part-time capacity.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required, and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and coach education.
- Previous experience within a development centre, academy, or grassroots club setting is beneficial; experience in the local football community in Wiltshire is an advantage.
