Lead Commercial Lawyer (EMEA)
My client, a Leading Global FMCG, is now looking to hire a Lead Commercial Lawyer (EMEA).
Reporting
Reporting into the General Counsel, you will have 1 direct report and look after several well-loved household brands.
Role Overview
Acting as lead lawyer and trusted advisor to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams, the scope of the role includes:
- Owning day-to-day legal support across EMEA for your businesses
- Leading delivery of a variety of strategic & business-critical contracts including sales, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, IT, and marketing
- Overseeing complex disputes and sensitive commercial issues
- Working with specialist IP lawyers on IP-related matters
- Working alongside external counsel advising on food law, product recalls, and withdrawals

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Trained at a leading UK or US law firm
- 12+ PQE
- Established in-house commercial lawyer experience working for another leading FMCG or Retail business
- Proven leadership capability and experience of advising the Executive directly
- Ability to lead negotiations autonomously on high-value, high-risk matters, balancing legal and commercial considerations
