Exciting Opportunity for Lead Community Dietitian
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dietetic team as the Lead Community Dietitian.

Role Description
This post can involve a combination of face to face and remote working, subject to agreement and ensuring the needs of the service are able to be met.
- Work in partnership with Dietetic colleagues and other health-care professionals to be responsible for the delivery of the Nutrition and Dietetic service to the community, including designated GP surgeries in West Norfolk.
- Manage a caseload of patients using evidence-based/client-centered principles for a range of complex physical and psychological conditions.
- Provide line management and clinical supervision to Junior Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants.
- Act as an expert advisor in the nutritional care of patients admitted to hospital.
- Take an active part in the training of student dietitians, all levels of healthcare professionals, and medical staff on nutrition and therapeutic diets for patients with a range of complex physical and psychological conditions.
- Lead on risk assessment and management within the department.
- Maintain team working with other Band 7 Dietitians in the general day-to-day management of the department.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) provides a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, maternity, and community-based services to a population of approximately 331,000 people across West and North Norfolk, North Cambridgeshire, and South Lincolnshire.
Future Plans
There are future plans for this service to transfer to the management of a Community Services provider. Should this occur, staff affected by the transfer would be supported throughout the process in accordance with TUPE regulations, ensuring that relevant employment rights and protections are maintained.
