Most money apps talk at you. Cleo talks back ✨

We're not building another finance app. We're building the world's first AI financial assistant, one that actually understands your money and makes you better at it, and we're changing the world's relationship with money in the process 💰 For everyone, whatever their background or balance.

The proof: profitable, fast-growing, a unicorn with over $300M in ARR, and millions of people who now feel differently about their money.

We love original thinkers who challenge the status quo. We move fast, tell the truth, and there's nowhere to hide from good work here. If that excites you more than it scares you, you'll fit right in.

Meet The Team 👥

Hello 👋 I'm Jack, VP of Design at Cleo. I'm excited to be growing the Experience Chapter as Cleo enters its next stage of scale.

We're a team of 50 designers, researchers and writers working at the cutting edge of AI. We care deeply about clarity of thinking, creating exceptional end-to-end experiences and delivering high-quality work at every stage of the design process.

We've spent the past six months overhauling how great product gets made at Cleo, with the latest tools and models built into our process. Many of the team work directly in code, building our own design tools, creating high fidelity prototypes and shipping to production.

But, it's not only a process change - it's a product change. We're rethinking the UX of the product from the ground up, around fully agentic financial assistants that can run your financial life.

We expect our people to get genuinely close to the business, take real ownership of problems, and move comfortably between big picture thinking and the detail of making something incredibly good.

It's an exciting time to join: so much of this is being built for the first time 🚀

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Analyse how existing systems work to identify where conversation design can have the most influence
  • Strengthen how the multi-agent architecture should work from a conversation design perspective, potentially including a prompt library or framework for organizing and managing prompts
  • Present design work to the UX, product, and engineering teams, leadership, and partner orgs for review and feedback
  • Work with UX research and data analysis teams to assess and optimise new and existing features
  • Navigate ambiguity - including shifts in direction and rapidly evolving customer expectations - and bring clarity to design decision-making through your work

What We're Looking For 🕵️

  • Ideally a background or degree in Human Computer Interaction, Content design, Linguistics, Communications, Psychology
  • Ideally 1-2+ years in conversation design working with LLM based products to deliver user-centric products

  • Confidence using design language and terminology, and strong collaboration skills across design, engineering, product, and data science
  • Strategic thinking - you connect content and conversation design decisions to Cleo's broader OKRs and strategic goals, not just the flow in front of you
  • Data-driven instincts - you use evidence, data, and research to inform your writing and design decisions, not just intuition
  • Unwavering attention to detail, and an acute awareness of why it matters when an agent is speaking on behalf of someone's finances
