Job Description
We are looking for a senior legal professional to join the Technology Standards Legal & Compliance team within MI L&C. In this role, you will lead and coordinate the legal work supporting the protection and successful monetization of Nokia’s intellectual property globally through patent transactions, licensing and other strategic monetization initiatives. You will work closely with key stakeholders in the TS business, including its Partnering, Licensing, Strategy and Commercial Management Teams, ensuring the execution of TS strategic priorities and adherence to best practices within Nokia. You, together with the team, will contribute to strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency in your area of responsibility in support of the success of Technology Standards. This is a unique opportunity to lead transactional work in a high-impact, dynamic and cross-functional team within MI L&C.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Provide high-impact, specialist legal advice and hands-on support for complex IP transactions, M&A, licensing arrangements and other strategic initiatives.
- Provide strategic legal advice and business partner support to TS business, including its Partnering, Licensing, Strategy, Patenting and Commercial Management Teams.
- Develop and maintain policies, processes and governance relevant to TS operations, mitigating risks and improving operational efficiency of Nokia’s business.
- Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders in your areas of responsibility.

Key Skills And Experience
- 7+ years of professional hands-on legal working experience in the areas of technology, patent and IP licensing and transactions, cross-border transactions, M&A, governance and compliance.
- Excellent legal knowledge in the area of intellectual property law, with an ability to provide practical and actionable legal advice in the area of responsibility.
- Ability to navigate and organize work across different cross-functional stakeholders, ability to resolve complex legal questions and secure effective strategy execution.
- Readiness and aptitude for seeking viable compromise solutions that adhere to Nokia’s best practices and policies in patent licensing and ensure the long-term sustainability of Nokia’s patent licensing business.
- Master’s degree in law.
