Goalhanger is one of the UK’s most exciting independent media companies, the team behind some of the world’s most successful shows, including The Rest Is Politics, The Rest Is History, The Rest Is Football, The Rest Is Entertainment, and a fast-growing slate. We’re a creative, fast-moving organisation with big ambitions and a brilliant team that makes them happen.

This role is based full time (5 days a week) in our office in Oval.

£60,000 - £71,500 OTE

The Role

We’re looking for a Lead Creative Producer to lead a new business unit focused on the creative production of our commercial content across podcast and social.

You’ll line manage a team of Creative Producers and Video Editors, working closely with clients, Account Director, Account Managers, podcast producers, talent and the wider commercial team. The role takes projects from signed deal through to final delivery, owning the creative production workflow and ensuring work is delivered on time, to a high standard and with a great client experience.

You’ll act as the creative link between clients and our shows, translating client objectives into content that feels authentic to Goalhanger and works for our talent and audiences. We’re looking for someone agile and flexible who can work across a growing range of clients, shows and formats, solve problems quickly and keep projects moving.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the creative production & workflow of branded content across podcasts and social, including host reads, custom segments, social activations, episode takeovers, shoots and other formats.
  • Line manage and support a team of Creative Producers and Video Editors, setting priorities, managing workloads and developing the team.
  • Work closely with the Account Director and Account Managers to agree timelines, manage client expectations and ensure projects stay on track.
  • Act as the creative point of contact for clients throughout delivery, joining calls, talking through creative, managing feedback and making sure the work meets the brief.
  • Work with podcast producers and talent to translate client objectives into content that feels natural to each show and is practical to deliver.
  • Lead creative treatments and production plans for shoots, clearly setting out the idea, format, talent, tone, visual approach and requirements.
  • Work closely with Video Editors to ensure social and video content is delivered accurately and to the agreed creative.
  • Feed creative thinking back to the sales and partnerships teams, suggesting ideas or improvements to briefs where relevant.
  • Identify opportunities for new commercial formats using Goalhanger’s shows, talent and platforms.
  • Oversee production logistics including scheduling, budgets, bookings, shoots and delivery.
  • Improve workflows and ways of working as the business grows, keeping the focus on quality, efficiency and client experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
