Lead Credit Risk Analyst
Leicester (Hybrid, 1-2 days per week) | Up to £65,000
Are you a Credit Risk Analyst looking to take ownership of lending strategy within a large-scale consumer credit environment? The Role
As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will sit within the existing customer strategy team, focusing on the ongoing management and optimisation of customer lending decisions.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing and enhancing credit risk strategies for existing customers
- Analysing customer behaviour, spending patterns, and portfolio performance to identify opportunities and risks
- Making recommendations around credit limits, pricing, affordability, and interest rate strategies
- Designing and evaluating strategy changes through detailed analytical investigations
- Delivering insights and recommendations to stakeholders across risk and commercial functions
- Using data to balance customer outcomes, portfolio performance, and business growth
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of lending strategies across the customer lifecycle
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience within retail credit risk, consumer lending, or financial services
- Experience developing, influencing, or optimising credit risk strategies
- Background in existing customer, in-life, affordability, credit limit, pricing, or portfolio strategy analytics
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and analysis
- Experience with SAS and/or Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with large customer datasets and translating insights into business action
