Lead Data Analyst
Location: London | Hybrid
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000
Data Idols are working with a leading organisation that is continuing to invest in and modernise its data and analytics capabilities. They are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to play a key role in shaping how analytics solutions are designed, built and scaled across the business.
This is a highly technical role offering the opportunity to work across modern analytics and AI technologies, combining hands-on expertise with solution design, technical leadership and stakeholder engagement.
The Opportunity
As a Lead Data Analyst, you'll help shape the technical direction of analytics and AI solutions, working across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.

You'll partner with analytics teams, data engineers, platform engineers and business stakeholders to design scalable analytics solutions and AI-ready data architectures. This will include working across data structures, semantic models, metric layers and dimensional modelling. You'll also help establish reusable standards and best practices across analytics, supporting teams to deliver solutions that are scalable, secure, governed and aligned with wider business objectives.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale analytics solutions
- Excellent SQL skills
- Strong experience with Power BI
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
- Strong knowledge of dimensional modelling, semantic models and analytics data architecture
- Experience establishing analytics standards, best practices and reusable technical patterns
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery
- Strong stakeholder management skills
