Lead Data Analyst
Are you ready to shape how data drives decision-making across one of Europe's leading audio and media businesses? We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join our Data & Decision Sciences team in London.

Job Purpose
As our Lead Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions across our Audio business. Working at the intersection of analytics, business strategy and audience understanding, you will help ensure data is leveraged effectively to improve performance, customer experiences and business outcomes.
You will define analytical frameworks, establish meaningful KPIs, develop scalable reporting solutions and partner closely with stakeholders across multiple European markets. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of data-driven decision-making within Bauer Media Audio.
Our Team
You will be joining our collaborative Data and Decision Sciences (DDS) team, which supports Bauer Media Audio across nine European markets. We combine centralised expertise with local market knowledge to deliver trusted insights and innovative data solutions.
We see data as a strategic business partner, working closely with teams across the organisation to unlock opportunities, improve audience engagement and deliver measurable value. You will work alongside passionate analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders who are committed to creating impact through data.
Working Pattern/Location
Hybrid role based in London. Full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement analytics strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Establish best practices for data analysis, reporting and visualisation.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators across the organisation.
- Analyse audience behaviour, content consumption and engagement across multiple platforms.
- Develop audience segmentation approaches to support growth, retention and engagement strategies.
- Lead the development of scalable reporting and analytics solutions across European markets.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau.
- Translate complex insights into compelling stories for business stakeholders.
- Promote data accessibility and encourage data-informed decision-making.
- Evaluate emerging analytics tools, technologies and methodologies.
- Support and mentor analysts while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrable experience in data analysis, business intelligence or analytics roles.
- Excellent SQL skills with experience querying large-scale consumer datasets.
- Expertise in data visualisation tools, ideally Tableau.
- Experience translating data into actionable business recommendations.
- Understanding of audience analytics, segmentation and advertising performance metrics.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence a range of stakeholders.
- Experience leading projects and supporting the development of other analysts.
- Experience in digital, product or user analytics.
- Media, digital publishing or audio industry experience is desirable but not essential.
