Lead Data Analyst (Research)

The University of Manchester is recruiting a Lead Data Analyst (Research) to strengthen business intelligence and analytical capability to support the university to understand research performance against our strategy, support strategic decision-making and progress institutional readiness for external assessment exercises for research (e.g. Research Excellence Framework).

Strong stakeholder management and the ability to demonstrate the value of business intelligence will be key to fostering understanding, influencing direction and facilitating adoption to ensure that our service and new approaches meet the needs of stakeholders across the University.

  • Passionate about data and bring significant experience of design, build and deployment of business intelligence in Higher Education.
  • Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge.
  • Strong problem solving and organisational capabilities to ensure project delivery.
  • Curious, conscientious, and customer focused.

You will be part of the Directorate of Research and Business Engagement which supports the ongoing development of strategy and policy for the University’s research and business engagement activities and will work in close partnership with the Research Committee and colleagues across Faculties and Professional Services.
