About the Role

We at Coforge are looking for a Lead Data Business Analyst in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Lead business analysis activities across the enterprise data platform transformation programme.
  • Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions.
  • Analyse current-state ("As-Is") processes and define future-state ("To-Be") operating models.
  • Translate business objectives into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics.
  • Ensure complete requirements traceability from business objectives through to delivery and testing.
  • Support solution validation and ensure delivered capabilities meet business expectations.

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

  • Act as Product Owner for one or more delivery teams, managing the product backlog and sprint priorities.
  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and release priorities.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters and Engineering Leads to ensure delivery aligns with business value.
  • Prioritise features based on business outcomes, dependencies, and programme objectives.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and release planning.
  • Drive adoption of Agile best practices across business and technology teams.

Migration Programme Leadership

  • Play a leading role in the successful delivery of complex enterprise cloud and data migration programmes.
  • Coordinate business readiness activities across multiple workstreams.
  • Support migration planning, cutover activities, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in the target solution.
  • Support data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-migration verification activities.

Stakeholder Management & Client Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Act as the primary interface between Client's London-based stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, steering meetings, and decision-making sessions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in clear business language.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, negotiate priorities, and drive consensus across diverse teams.
  • Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and delivery insights to programme leadership.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between client teams, architects, engineers, testers, and project management.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Data Architects, Platform Architects, and Engineering Leads to shape solution design.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the GCP cloud data platform, migration approach, and operating model.
  • Review solution designs to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Support definition of non-functional requirements including security, governance, resilience, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure architecture decisions remain aligned with business priorities.

Documentation & Governance

  • Produce and maintain high-quality programme documentation including:
    • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
    • Functional Requirements Specifications (FRSs)
    • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
    • Process Maps
    • Use Cases
    • Product Roadmaps
    • Backlog Documentation

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 8–12 years of Business Analysis and/or Product Ownership experience delivering complex technology transformation programmes.
  • Proven experience leading business analysis activities on large-scale cloud migration, data migration, or digital transformation programmes.
  • Strong experience acting as a Product Owner within Agile delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with distributed delivery teams across onsite and offshore locations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience facilitating workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and design discussions.
  • Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining prioritised Agile backlogs.
  • Experience defining functional and non-functional requirements including security, governance, operational readiness, and performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business readiness, and migration validation.
  • Excellent written documentation and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery tools.
