Lead Data Engineer | Snowflake ❄️ | Remote (UK) | £70,000 - £80,000
People Talent have partnered exclusively with an exciting UK technology business in the travel industry that's looking to hire a Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of its growing Snowflake data platform.
This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering, leading a team of Data Engineers while shaping the future of a modern cloud data warehouse.
The Role:
You'll lead the development of the company's Snowflake environment, designing scalable data models and ELT pipelines while driving engineering best practice across the team. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll influence technical direction and deliver high-quality data solutions that support the wider business.

What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience leading Data Engineering teams
- Strong commercial experience with Snowflake
- Advanced SQL and modern data warehousing expertise
- Experience with dbt and/or Fivetran
- Python within data engineering environments
- Strong understanding of data modelling and architecture
- Experience with AWS Glue, MySQL and SQL Server is beneficial
- Confident engaging with stakeholders and driving technical decisions
