We’re supporting a growing digital transformation consultancy looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to play a key role in supporting the digital transformation journeys of its clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience guiding others, working closely with clients and helping organisations use data to make better decisions.

The organisation works across a broad range of sectors and domains, spanning both public and private sector clients. Healthcare currently makes up a significant part of the client portfolio, so experience in healthcare data would be a real advantage.

As a consultancy, the technology stack will vary from client to client, so strong technical foundations, adaptability and the ability to work effectively across different technologies are highly valued.

There is also a strong focus on using emerging AI technologies to improve individual workflows and deliver better outcomes for clients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on scalability, security and reliability.
  • Applying advanced scripting skills to automate data processes and integrate ETL workflows.
  • Using Business Intelligence tools and techniques to turn data into actionable insights for clients.
  • Implementing and overseeing CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable deployment of data services.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support successful, high-quality delivery.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to colleagues across the Data capability.
  • Contributing to internal initiatives and wider planning discussions to help shape the continued growth of the Data Engineering capability.
  • Supporting the development of junior Data Engineers and helping to build a strong data engineering community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
