About the Role
We at Coforge are looking for a Lead Data Governance SME in London, UK.
Drive enterprise-wide data governance, data quality, metadata management, regulatory compliance, and stewardship initiatives across GCP data platforms.
Data Governance Strategy & Operating Model
- Define governance policies, standards, and controls.
- Establish stewardship, ownership, and governance operating models.
- Drive governance adoption across business and technology teams.

Metadata Management & Data Cataloguing
- Implement Dataplex, Data Catalog, and business glossary frameworks.
- Manage metadata standards and data asset catalogues.
- Improve data discoverability and self-service access.
Data Lineage & Traceability
- Implement end-to-end data lineage across BigQuery and GCP services.
- Support impact analysis, auditability, and transparency.
Data Quality Management
- Define enterprise DQ framework, rules, and scorecards.
- Implement monitoring, remediation, and governance KPIs.

GDPR & Compliance Controls
Essential Skills
- 8–14 years IT experience with Data Governance expertise.
- Hands-on Dataplex, Data Catalog, and Data Lineage experience.
- Strong metadata, lineage, and stewardship experience.
- Experience implementing enterprise DQ frameworks.
- Experience governing BigQuery-based platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
- Google Cloud Digital Leader
- DAMA CDMP
- DCAM
