A leading UK consultancy is scaling its dedicated AI & Data Science capability, with a major focus on Retail and Consumer Services. Their teams embed directly with large organisations to solve commercially important problems using data, AI, and operational change. Previous work has included AI-powered markdown optimisation delivering a £40m revenue uplift and supplier cost modelling across 300 factories and 16 brands. This is an opportunity to join a growing capability where technical delivery and commercial impact carry equal weight.

You’ll lead hands-on Data Science projects across areas including pricing, forecasting, supply chain, and operational optimisation, working directly with client stakeholders. You’ll have ownership from shaping the initial problem through to building, deploying, and embedding solutions into business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy machine learning and optimisation solutions for retail and consumer clients
  • Solve commercial problems across pricing, forecasting, supply chain, and operations
  • Use Python and advanced analytics to turn complex datasets into actionable solutions
  • Work directly with stakeholders to define problems, KPIs, and delivery priorities
  • Own projects from technical design through to implementation and measurable business impact
  • Lead technical delivery and support the development of junior Data Scientists
