The Role

The company are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist to lead the development of advanced AI, NLP, and Generative AI solutions that are transforming how legal services are delivered.

In this role, you will drive high-impact initiatives across ML, AI, and intelligent document processing, helping unlock insights from vast volumes of structured and unstructured legal data. You’ll lead a team of data scientists while remaining hands-on in the design, development, and deployment of modern AI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of AI, NLP, and GenAI initiatives across business functions.
  • Develop solutions using LLMs, semantic search, RAG pipelines, and deep learning models.
  • Build scalable Python-based data and NLP pipelines for structured and unstructured content.
  • Partner with engineering, legal, and business teams to deliver impactful AI products.
  • Mentor data scientists and drive technical best practices across the team.

Requirements

  • Strong experience delivering Data Science and AI solutions in production environments.
  • Expertise in NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, and modern machine learning techniques.
  • Advanced Python skills with experience using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and SpaCy.
  • Experience building scalable AI solutions within enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Leadership experience managing and mentoring a small team of Data Scientists
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to present to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional services or regulated background will be a plus.
