About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer specializing in Fire Suppression systems to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will take technical ownership of sprinkler and special risk design activities for large-scale, complex projects that span multiple disciplines. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of innovative, compliant, and efficient fire suppression solutions. As a subject matter expert, you will provide technical leadership, governance, and mentorship within the design team, supporting the business in high-risk or specialized projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to influence project outcomes, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the safety and functionality of critical infrastructure worldwide.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in fire suppression system design, with a focus on sprinkler and special risk systems, is required.
- Professional certifications such as NICET, PE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong technical knowledge of fire suppression standards and codes, including NFPA, FM Global, and local regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- A proven track record of managing complex projects from conception to completion will be highly valued.

Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of sprinkler and special risk fire suppression system designs for large and complex projects.
- Lead the design activities ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and effective fire suppression solutions.
- Conduct detailed design reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise during proposal and bidding processes.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, standards, and best practices to continuously improve design quality.
- Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and coordination activities across disciplines.
- Ensure timely delivery of design documentation and support construction and commissioning phases as needed.
