This is an exciting new role working for an award-winning and growing Tech company.

We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Developer to own architecture, drive technical direction, and lead a small engineering team. This is a role for someone who doesn’t just write code, but designs systems, sets standards, and ships scalable software.

You will take ownership of their platform architecture, ensure engineering excellence, and turn product vision into reliable, production-ready systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Own technical architecture and system design.
  • Lead a small team and raise the engineering bar.
  • Design scalable applications using Laravel.
  • Architect microservices and modular systems where appropriate.
  • Build secure, high-performance REST APIs.
  • Implement queue-based and event-driven systems.
  • Design systems with scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance in mind.
  • Lead AWS deployments (EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, Redis, IAM, VPC, etc.).
  • Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategy.
  • Improve performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead sprint planning and technical roadmap discussions.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor developers.
  • Own and resolve production issues when it matters most.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
