Lead Developer – Remote-first (monthly visits to North Yorkshire)

£55,000 - £62,000 + Excellent benefits

I am currently hiring for a proven Senior / Lead Developer with extensive experience of Java and TypeScript, who is capable of working in a lead capacity for a growing business. You will provide effective technical leadership, improve development efficiency and release quality whilst introducing new tech.

This is an opportunity to join a global business that is expanding its UK presence by bringing in an experienced Lead Developer. You will have responsibility for the roadmap whilst collaborating with external developers and architecture teams to help drive technology decisions. This role will see you become the Solution Owner, driving projects forward and ensuring solutions align with business needs.

Experience working with real time data is critical to this role. The office is based in North Yorkshire, and they are open to Developer candidates across the North of England. Ideally you will be able to come into the office a couple of times a month, but they are open to discussions for the right candidate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
