Lead DevSecOps Engineer

- Owning and evolving the internal developer platform
- Designing and improving CI/CD workflows and deployment tooling
- Building secure, repeatable patterns for deploying cloud infrastructure
- Driving adoption of Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
- Taking ownership of GitLab and the wider engineering toolchain
- Building security into the delivery process without creating unnecessary friction
- Improving automation, observability and platform reliability
- Helping grow and mentor the DevSecOps team
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience building developer platforms, platform tooling or sophisticated CI/CD environments
- Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge
- Hands-on experience running Kubernetes environments
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, OpenTofu or Pulumi
- Scripting or software engineering skills using Python, Go or Bash
- A strong understanding of secure software delivery and modern DevSecOps practices
- An instinct for automation and removing unnecessary work from developers

A couple of practical points
- This is primarily an office-based role, with close collaboration between platform, software and AI engineering teams.
- You’ll need the right to work in the UK and be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
