Role description:
Arcadis are looking for an Experienced Lead Driller based at our Gloucester facility. The position will involve working throughout the UK across a variety of sites and sectors including manufacturing, petrochemical and construction environments.
As part of our Environmental team, you’ll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. And in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.

The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:
The successful candidate would be expected to work independently, demonstrating leadership, and taking a key role in the development of Assistant Drillers, and Health and Safety Stewardship.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Clean and valid UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months.
- Experience acting in the role of Lead Driller – preferably holding an NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling. – BDA audit would also be beneficial.
- Experience in Logging to BS5930 and knowledge of Eurocode 7 would be beneficial.
- A full, clean driving licence (Category B) is essential, supplementary entitlement for C1+E and/or C preferable.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- It would also be beneficial if the applicant holds Personal Track Safety (PTS) accreditations or an SPA/PIA training card.
The position will involve working away throughout the week with accommodation provided directly by the company and a daily subsistence allowance provided.
Please note that although most of the work will be away, daily commuting to Gloucester may be required at times; therefore, the successful candidate will reside within a reasonable commute from the depot.
