Job Description
Lead Driver required in Kings Lynn, Norfolk
£26,558.24 per annum
37 hours per week
Monday to Friday, AM and PM shift each day
The Role
Norse Transport Division is currently seeking a Lead Driver to work at our Depot based in Kings Lynn. You will be responsible for both routine AM and PM transport of our vulnerable children and adults to and from their destinations, supporting their wellbeing, providing a caring tailored service, and ensuring a successful journey. You will also have higher responsibilities as this is a Lead Driver role that will come with more responsibilities.
As a Lead Driver, you will be required to:
- Be in regular contact with the Team Leader in order to support and update them on progress of the routes each day.
- Plan the Rotas and Vehicle Servicing for the Minibus’ used each day.
- Undertake split shifts as a Minibus Driver each day, operating our routes transporting people to and from their destination.
- Conduct physical tasks such as lifting wheelchairs or securing items in the vehicle using ratchet straps.

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-time basis working Monday to Friday, covering both AM & PM school runs all year round.
Requirements
- Hold a full, clean driving licence with category D1 entitlement.
Our Successful Candidate
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area
- Basic computer skills to communicate with team members on mobile and email
- Previous experience of driving passenger carrying vehicles
- Supportive and caring attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to conduct physical requirements of the role
