Lead the Engineering Behind Semiconductor Manufacturing Innovation

We're supporting a global engineering and technology business that develops highly sophisticated equipment used in the manufacture of semiconductors, the critical components that power everything from AI and data centres to smartphones, electric vehicles, medical technology and advanced computing.

Operating at the forefront of precision engineering, this organisation designs and manufactures complex vacuum and automation systems that play a vital role in semiconductor production facilities around the world. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to lead a growing team and drive the delivery of next generation engineering solutions.

The Opportunity

This is a leadership role with responsibility for guiding, mentoring and developing a team of Electrical Engineers working across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, commissioning and customer deployment.

You'll work closely with technical specialists, project managers, manufacturing teams and customers to ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, compliantly and on schedule, whilst maintaining the highest engineering standards.

This position offers the opportunity to influence engineering strategy, drive best practice and contribute directly to the development of cutting edge equipment used within the semiconductor industry.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
