Equans is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in Westminster, London. This is a full-time, site-based role working day shifts 4 on 4 off. On offer is a salary of £52,400 and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance across single phase and three phase electrical systems
  • Act as the main Electrical Authorised Person on site following the required training and assessment
  • Diagnose faults, source parts, and complete electrical repairs, inspections, and testing
  • Support electrical shutdown planning, project works, specialist contractors, and the wider engineering team

Who are you?

  • Experienced in planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure within a building services environment
  • Qualified to the 18th Edition and experienced in inspection and testing
  • Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent level, including Level 3 electrical installation engineering
  • Qualified in installing and commissioning electrotechnical systems, with AM1 and AM2 achievement
  • Able to complete electrical repairs, Initial Verification, and Periodic Inspection and Testing in accordance with the current edition of BS7671
  • Able to work independently, use initiative, and apply practical problem-solving
  • Comfortable working with clients, colleagues, and specialist subcontractors
  • Able to demonstrate sound judgment and a commitment to high standards of safety and workmanship
  • Currently holding CTC clearance or able to obtain CTC clearance

Background checks

This role requires CTC clearance due to the government environment. Candidates must either hold current CTC clearance or be able to successfully obtain it as part of the recruitment process.
