Lead Electrical Field Service Engineer
We’re recruiting a Lead Electrical Field Service Engineer to play a key role in Probe’s strategic growth, particularly the continued development of our engineering capability and field-service team.
The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the UK, maintaining, commissioning and fault-finding on electrical and mechanical equipment.
You’ll also help us:
- Specify and improve existing equipment
- Develop new engineering solutions for customers
- Expand our maintenance and service offering
- Support and mentor developing engineers
- Grow and lead the field-service engineering team

We’re looking for someone with:
- Recognised electrical qualifications
- 18th Edition
- Strong industrial electrical fault-finding skills
- Practical mechanical experience
- Experience with machinery, control panels, motors and inverters
- The confidence to work independently and deal directly with customers
Experience within the waste-management or wastewater-treatment industries is preferred. We would also consider someone with relevant experience in other challenging industrial environments such as recycling, aggregates, heavy manufacturing or materials handling.

PLC, equipment-design and commissioning experience would be a real advantage.
🏠 Home-based anywhere in the UK
🌍 Extensive UK-wide travel with regular overnight stays, plus occasional international travel
💷 Salary between 45-50K depending on experience
